How bout this to go with your morning coffee and crossword:
According to a South Korean defense policy paper released Friday, the United States would dispatch 690,000 troops and 2,000 warplanes if war breaks out on the Korean peninsula.
Thats a lot of troops, considering we have around 130,000 currently bumming around in Iraq. I wonder what the US thinks of this S Korean report. No comment was mentioned in the article I read. N. Koreans however, did not hesitate to respond. The following quote was attributed to an officer named Hur Ryong:
"If the U.S. imperialists ignite flames of war, we will first of all strike all bases of U.S. imperialist aggressors and turn them into a sea of fire."
Pretty straighforward really. And great imagery. US ignites it, then turns into a sea of it.
