MLK Day

Ran into Gavin downtown at the MLK rally. He was having a great time soaking up all the attention and bogging down the march. It was unclear to me why everyone was so happy to see him. Except I guess for the fact that he looks and smiles like a movie star...

The rest of the march was pretty calm, only excitment being clashing pro/anti factions of Israel/Palestine area that were out in front of City Hall. It was sort of a SF rematch of round one in the East Bay. One man in his pro-palestinian speech brought up Rachel Corrie and just shocked me to the core. Almost started to cry right there under the big blue sky. Posted by Hello
