Counting to Ten

I went to Critical Mass on Friday in SF. I was an incredible scene. 500+ bicyclists out to enjoy the day and the streets. Had its ups and downs, but all in all a good time.

Afterwards I went to have food with some people that I had met up with at the ride. Some folks connected to the building of the cob bench. For some reason, half way through the meal a section of the group, maybe 6 people started a game to see how many languages we could count to ten in.

So we went around the group, saying the numbers and everyone else guessing what language it was. I was truly amazed. In the end we had 15 languages represented.

A partial list:

English, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Finnish, Arabic, Hebrew, Swiss German, Swedish
French, and I'm afraid I can't remember the others....
